A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION: EM Hawaii hosts a Screening and Live Lecture at Doris Duke Theatre

Whether you are a sustainable living expert or have yet to truly consider eco-conscious lifestyle changes, a day at Doris Duke Theatre for a two-part event about “A Sustainable Solution” will be well worth your time.
The event will kick off with an eye-opening documentary film “SOSEI—Revival” by Tetsu Shiratori sheds light on how to improve your personal surroundings, community and beyond by tapping into the powers of Earth’s oldest living organisms. The audience is taken on a scientific journey through the positive impact of microorganisms in extremely polluted sites such as Fukushima and Chernobyl’s radioactive contamination. The film also explores how microorganisms have been used to clean polluted rivers and waterways while replacing agrochemicals with microorganisms has had impressive results.
The film will then follow up with a live lecture titled “How to Live Without Illness” by Dr. Yoshimi Tanaka. A Board-certified member of Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, Dr. Tanaka is dedicated to promoting preventative medicine along with educational seminars and books on holistic wellness.
